The SSCT STEM Expo 2025 was successfully conducted by the Thrissur Sahodaya School Complex at IES Public School on 18 November 2025, marking the celebration of CBSE’s declaration of 2025 as the STEM Year. The expo aimed to foster innovation, inquiry, and scientific temper among students through hands-on learning experiences
A press meet held on 12 November 2025 formally announced the event. The expo witnessed enthusiastic participation from 728 students representing 31 schools across Thrissur district. Competitions were organised in two categories—Grades 6–8 and Grades 9–12—covering Science, Mathematics, and AI & Robotics, with students presenting interactive working models, coding solutions, and participating in STEM quizzes
The Valedictory Ceremony was presided over by Dr. Dinesh Babu, President of Thrissur Sahodaya. The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Nirmala (CBSE Under Secretary & Head, COE Trivandrum), inspired students to pursue excellence in STEM fields. Devmatha School, Thrissur, won the Overall Championship, along with special trophies awarded for excellence in Science, Mathematics, and AI & Robotics
The expo concluded successfully, providing a vibrant platform for young innovators to showcase creativity, critical thinking, and technological skills
A differently-abled powerhouse of talent and determination, Ms. Ann Mookken-achiever in Yoga, Swimming, and Modeling, and winner of the 2024 Kerala State Best Creative Girl Child Award-graced the inauguration of Varnotsavam 2025 at IES Public School Chittilappilly on August 1st. Her presence set the perfect tone for a celebration of creativity, courage, and youthful spirit! President of the Ideal Education City Syed Muhammed and the entire team of management, Principal Vice Principals, PTA members graced the inaugural ceremony with their presence
IES Annual Sports Meet URJA 2024 was held on 9th and 10 th August . The auspicious event was honoured by the presence of esteemed chief guest Mr. Kiran K.K ( International Power lifter) The meet commenced with the lighting of the torch, followed by a vibrant march-past by the students of all four houses. The events experienced students vying for top honours in races and relays. The atmosphere was electric with cheering crowds and motivational chants fueling the competitors' spirits showing true sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the winners.
The Inaugural ceremony of Varnolsavam 2024 was held on 10th July in IES School Auditorium. IES family was really honoured to welcome our alumna as Chief guest, Mrs.Kavitha Unnikrishnan (Renowned Fashion Designer & Dancer) who inaugurated Varnolsavam with great enthusiasm and spirit.
IES Art Festival 2022 "Varnotsavam" was duly inaugurated by Mrs Christina Cherean a renowned news reporter and TV anchor along with guest of honour Master Milan a social media celebrity on 12 August 2022. Both the guests established their bench mark in the minds of idealites with their prowess in motivating speech and melodious music. The event was also graced by prominent management members Mr.Abdul Rasheed K.P , Mr. Ummer N.K , Mr Mohamed Ali, Mr. Nabeel T.K, head's of sister concern, Principal and parent representative of IES public school. The post COVID cultural fest Varnotsavam was blended with the sustainable development goals to promote sense social responsibility along with skill exploration.
This year's yoga day celebration was held with great enthusiasm at our school, IES PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHITTILAPPILLY, THRISSUR, KERALA. A large number of students as well as teaching staff attended the event this year.The theme for this year's yoga day was " Yoga for Humanity".
The session was held in our school courtyard. Students from classes 6 to 12th took part in the celebration. The inaugural speech was given by Mrs. Sujatha Harimohan,the principal, who emphasized the importance of Yoga and physical exercises in daily life.
Various asanas were performed by the students with great enthusiasm and energy. Even our principal and teachers took active participation in yoga day celebrations.The organisers gave us a short class about the benefits of each asana. Smrithi Suraj from our higher secondary section made the joy and merriment even more higher , with her stimulating speech.
Yoga helps in improving concentration and in attaining inner peace. It helps a
person improve life physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
Through this celebration which is considered as a global festival, students
realized
that yoga in our day to day life brings health, happiness and peace.
